Caramel Apple Peanut Wedges

Directions

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Bowl size: medium microwavable bowl
Temp: high
Melting time: 1 to 2 minutes
Servings: 6 - six wedges each

A Fun and Healthy Apple Treat

25 Kraft Caramels - 1/2 of a 14 ounce package
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts, chopped
3 large tart apples, each cut into 12 wedges

Microwave caramels and water in a microwavable bowl on high for 1 to 2 minutes or until caramels are completely melted, stirring caramels every minute.

Insert a heavy duty tooth pick into a wedge of apple. Carefully dip apple wedge into warm caramel, then into chopped peanuts, turning to evenly coat all sides of the apple. Lay caramel apple wedges on a serving plate.

Kitchens Tips:
Caramel sauce can be cooled to room temperature before dipping apples into it, if desired.

Substitute:
Prepare as directed, using your favorite fruits such as banana chunks or sliced fresh pears.
