Apple Banana Bread Recipe

Apple Banana Bread

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Bread pan size: 8 x 4 x 2 inch loaf pan
Temp: 350°F degrees
Bread baking time: 60 minutes
Servings: 1 bread loaf

Kitchen Helpful Hints on Baking Quick Breads

2 cups sifted flour
2 1/4 teaspoons double acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 very ripe large banana - smashed
1 large apple, grated
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Apple bread baking direction

Preheat your oven. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside.

Blend softened butter and brown sugar. Lightly beat the eggs. Add eggs and fruit into sugar mixture. Stir the flour mixture into the sugar mixture. Beat the batter until smooth. Don't over beat.

Fold in pecans. Pour the batter into a greased bread pan. Bake Apple Banana Bread loaf for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the top of the Apple Banana Bread loaf comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
