Apple Honey Dessert

Directions

Pan size: pizza pan
Temp: 375°F degrees
Baking time: 50 minutes

Apple Honey Dessert Recipe

one single pie crust
5 large apples - peeled, cored and thinly sliced baking apples
1/4 cup dried craisins
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon lemon
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 egg white - beaten

In a large bowl toss apples, craisins, sugar, flour, pecans and lemon juice. set aside.

In a small sauce pan, add honey brown sugar and butter, melt until honey mixture bubbles, remove from the heat.

On a floured surface roll out pie crust to a 13 inch round; spray the cookie sheet with non stick spray. Place the crust in the center. Pour apples into the center, make sure leaving 3 to 4 inches of crust uncovered. bring up the sides over lapping crust leaving the center of apples uncovered. Pinch the over laps so they hold together, brush crust with egg whites.

Bake pie in the center of the oven for 50 to 55 minutes and crust is golden. Cover the edge of the pie if it begins to darken. Let the pie cool for 3 hours before serving.
