Easy French Pear Pie Recipe

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Pan size: 9 inch glass baking dish
Temp: 325°F degrees
Baking time: 40 to 45 minutes
Servings: 6

French Pear Pie Baking Directions

Create this tasty pear pie with a nutty topping the easy Bisquick mix way!
There's no crust to roll.


Filling
4 cups sliced peeled pears
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs

Streusel
1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons firm butter or margarine

Heat oven to 325ºF. Grease 9-inch glass baking dish. In medium bowl, mix pears, cinnamon and nutmeg; place in pie plate.

In medium bowl, stir remaining filling ingredients until well blended. Pour over pear mixture in pie plate. In small bowl, mix all streusel ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over filling.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. Store in refrigerator.

High Altitude (above 3500-6500 feet): Heat oven to 375ºF.
