Breaded Pork Chops with Apple Rings Recipe

Baking Directions

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Pan size: 10-inch skillet
Temp: cook on medium low heat
Cook time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

1 egg
2 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1/2 cup fine bread crumbs
1/4 cup oil
3 to 4 unpeeled apples

Mix egg, water and seasonings together. Dip pork chops in egg-water mixture, then roll in bread crumbs and let breaded pork chops set a few minutes.

In a 10 inch skillet with hot oil brown breaded pork chops on both sides about, 2 minutes. Cover and cook breaded pork chops slowly on medium low heat about 20 minutes.

Remove pork chops from pan and keep warm, covered in the oven.

Wash and core apples and slice 1/2 inch thick. After pork chops are cooked fry apple slices in the same pan until tender and lightly browned, about 3 to 4 minutes. Pour apples over the warm pork chops. Easily doubled.
