Red White & Blue Cream Cheese Appetizer Spread Recipe

For a great combination of baking apple; use Granny Smith, Braeburn, Jonagold, Empire, Regent, Spartan, Newtown apples or a mixture of your favorite apples together.

Bowl size: pretty serving bowl
Temp: chilled for 3 hours, up to 24 hours
Prep time: 15 minutes
Servings: 6



This delicious cream cheese spread recipe has great colors; serve for Memorial Day, Fourth of July or Labor Day on a picnic.

Red White and Blue Cream Cheese Spread Directions

1 - 8 ounce package cream cheese, or fat free or light cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
2/3 cup crumbled blue cheese
2/3 cup chopped toasted walnuts
3 red apples
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Mix together the cream cheese, butter, blue cheese and walnuts in a pretty serving bowl. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or you can make this part of the apple spread up to two days before using.

Core and slice the red apples just before just serving and toss in a bowl with the lemon juice. Lay apples on a serving plate next to the cream cheese spread. Use a small knife for spreading.
